Residential - why do you need a survey?
- Purchase or Sale of Property
- Mapping Improvements
- Documenting Encroachments
- Building Additions
- New Construction on Property
- Site Plan Mapping
- FEMA Elevation Certificate
- Moving an Existing Property Line
- Subdividing an Existing Property
A
prospective buyer should always insist on a having a current survey
before closing a real estate sale. Many lenders have forgone this
requirement for originating a mortgage loan. The cost of a current
survey cannot be compared with the peace of mind a buyer will have knowing
exactly where the lines and corners are, the exact acreage of the
property, any potential title developments and/or encroachments.
